"Trent and I met the old school way – sophomore year of college in a bar. He walked up to me and we instantly hit it off. We dated for a few years in college and then went our separate ways once I graduated. I moved to Atlanta, Ga., and he moved to Athens, Ga., five years later. We reconnected and have been together ever since. In December of 2021, Trent proposed to me at his parent's property. We went down to the dock to feed the ducks and that is where he got down on one knee and proposed. After I said yes, his family and mine came running down cheering. We popped champagne to celebrate and then headed to dinner at a local Athens restaurant. It was such a special day!

Our big day was better than I could have ever imagined! I got ready at our lodging, which doubled as the wedding venue, and Trent got ready at another property we rented close by. Once hair and makeup was done, it was first look time. My friend and I had planned a first look prank with Trent's best friend, Kyle. He got a dress off Amazon and a veil to really complete the look. I heard Trent was super nervous, so I knew this would help calm his nerves. Luckily, it went as planned and was hilarious!

Next was the real first look. It was such a special moment for us to share together after a crazy week of travel and final touches for the wedding. After pictures, we hid away until the ceremony started. During the ceremony, Trent couldn't even keep it together. I honestly was a little worried that he was going to run, until he finally let it all out and tears just started streaming down his face. He has never been a super emotional guy, so this was the sweetest moment of the whole day and one I will never forget (or let him live down).

The reception was absolutely beautiful! My day-of coordinator made my Pinterest board come to life with the flowers, candles and decor. The food was also delicious. That is all everyone talked about all night! We danced, ate and drank the night away. It was such a magical evening!" –Sydney, the bride
