Dakota + Trey's fall engagement captured by Jessie Hardy Photography looks straight out of a movie. Read on for their sweet love story and to see more of the stunning session taken in Flaxville, Montana.

"Our love story could be classified as unrealized high school sweethearts. Trey admitted to having a crush on me all throughout high school, and while I always thought he was cute and charming, our desires went unfulfilled until recently. So I would say that the tale of our love story was about 8 years in the making, haha!
It wasn’t until the passing of my younger sister, Kia, that we got brought back to one another. After her passing, he became someone who would ground me and bring me back to reality throughout my grief journey; he really was just an overall beacon of light for my family within all the darkness that comes with complicated grief.
After several years spent apart, only keeping in contact here and there, we picked up right where we left off. When we finally had a chance to reconnect, we ultimately realized the depth of our friendship and love with one another.
Our story is a bit unconventional from there on out: We skipped a step, got pregnant, and had our beautiful daughter, Sutton Jo. Trey proposed about a year later and, while we already felt married, we decided it was finally time to tie the knot. The rest is history!
We chose Montana for our wedding because it was the only place that made sense for us! The both of us were born here, grew up here and decided to spend the rest of our lives here!" –Dakota, the bride-to-be
