Zoe and Patrick have the sweetest college love story and make an absolutely perfect couple. We can't get enough of this beautiful winter engagement with photography by Oak and Fern.
How did you meet?
"We met at the University of Arkansas in 2020 where Patrick was playing baseball, he was a junior at the time. He messaged me on Instagram and we immediately hit it off. Not a day would go by without us hanging out – we truly have been inseparable since the beginning. Since then, Patrick was drafted for baseball in the summer of 2021 and we have been doing long distance for nearly two years."
What is your proposal story?
"I (Zoe) was taking senior photos with a few of my friends on our college campus. I knew something was going on considering Patrick's family came down to Arkansas from California. After taking photos with my friends, they drove me to a different place on campus and told me Patrick was waiting for me. I walked what felt like a mile and there he was, standing on the steps of Old Main, which is so important to us and everyone that attends the University of Arkansas. It was such a special moment!"
What are your wedding plans?
"We are taking wedding planning slow since Patrick plays baseball and is gone 9 months out of the year. We want to enjoy every moment and not feel rushed!"
What do you love most about one another?
"I (Zoe) love how driven and caring Patrick is. He truly cares so much about me and will do anything in his power to make me happy or help me out in any way. I love how driven he is, not only in baseball but in his every day life. He was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 20 and has had many instances where he could have easily given up, but he chooses every day to not let that affect him and works harder than anyone I know. "
