"Kelsey and I first met at Walla Walla University in the fall of 2012. After meeting in the athletic department where I was working, we soon discovered that we were going to be on the same softball intramural team that quarter and swiftly became friends. One day Kelsey asked me if I could help him with an assignment from one of his professors. That assignment was to take a girl on a date! Of course I agreed. This quickly led to an exciting but brief summer romance which resulted in us parting ways for quite a few years. As luck would have it, we ended up running into each other in Portland, Oregon in 2018 and the rest was history. Within the first few weeks the same chemistry was there and I knew I would spend the rest of my life with this man. After countless dates and adventures, I knew our story was only beginning. Kelsey and I were visiting his family in Bozeman, Montana and went for a drive during Christmas time of 2020 in Paradise Valley. We got out to take some photos overlooking the valley and before I knew it Kelsey was on one knee asking me to be his wife. This past year of wedding planning, moving in, and both of us attending school has been a challenge, but to say the least we have grown closer than ever and developed a strong bond with no expiration date.

Planning a wedding out-of-state in the midst of COVID was a challenge to say the least. But our wedding day was better than we could have imagined, everything just fell into place to make the perfect day. Not only did we get blessed with great weather but the smoke cleared to give us a beautiful view of the mountains as well. From the beginning of the day we were able to enjoy having our family and friends with us to celebrate our marriage. It was a surreal experience that will be a forever vivid and fond memory." –Kira, the bride
