Summer Wedding in Red Lodge | Briana + Kevin

"Kevin and I met in middle school when my family moved to Dousman, Wisconsin. We had a very typical middle school 'crush,' which began during eighth grade and consisted of talking once a week for about a month. Throughout high school, the attraction we had for one another never really seemed to disappear and we decided to pick up where we left off during our senior year of high school and into college. Who would have known that my eighth grade crush would turn out to be my husband 12 years later. Kevin has family that live in Billings and Red Lodge, Montana, so we have been very fortunate to make it a tradition to visit this beautiful state every year. It was during our visit in the summer of 2020, when Kev decided to surprise me by getting down on one knee during our horseback ride in Silver Gate. Less than one year later, we were back for our wedding day!

Since Montana holds such a special place in our hearts, we decided to have an intimate wedding with a group of about 60 of our closest family and friends. We did not want to see each other before I walked down the aisle, so we both got ready with our small wedding party and parents at separate houses in town. We got married in the Beartooth Mountains with the most stunning background, a perfectly decorated altar, and some wooden chairs. The weather barely held out for us as I walked down the aisle, and later turned into the most beautiful evening and sunset. We held our reception at Kevin’s aunt and uncle’s house where the breathtaking views continued. The surrounding mountains in their backyard are a view that never gets old. We were so fortunate to be able to celebrate our day in the comfort of his family's home. We had so much help planning and setting up from our family and Off the Beaten Path, which resulted in everything coming together perfectly! We celebrated all night long and brought home with us amazing memories and photos to cherish. Although I’m not sure any of our future visits to Montana will ever be able to top this one, we certainly will continue to try!" –Briana, the bride
