Stunning Summer Wedding at Green Valley Ranch | Briana + Josh

"We met through mutual friends in Nashville. Josh and I dated for a few years before he proposed to me. We would walk every summer on a trail behind my parent's house on Flathead Lake. About halfway through the walk there is an overlook to Flathead Lake and the valley. The day before Josh proposed there was a large snowfall. On the day of it was blue sky and sunshine. I went to take a photo of the view and when I turned around Josh was on one knee.

My family is from Montana, Josh's Kentucky, and we resided in Nashville. Choosing Montana was a half destination and half a hometown option for us. When we found Green Valley Ranch we knew that the property was the perfect location for those near and far.

After choosing our venue, we choose to embrace Montana's summer season. The reception tables were decorated in bright summer colors. Table flowers were filled with classic elements including garden roses, ranunculus and other seasonal blooms. While other centerpieces on the bar and ceremony incorporated a more "Montana" aesthetic including allium and eremurus.

Our seating chart was a custom rustic cutout of the state of Montana with bears walking across the state to escort guests to their seats. The menu incorporated huckleberries and Montana cherries. We served “Charlie Brown” a traditional old fashion and “Pink Lady” a strawberry lemonade at the bar to incorporate our beloved dogs into the celebration. Miss Patti Cakes continued the color scheme with a cake donned with custom sugar flowers in the color pallet including pinks, purples and oranges.

As a native to Montana, we spent a significant amount of time with family visiting the state. We decided to take our adventures further and spent a day in Glacier National Park as well as Flathead Lake, where I grew up. We hiked, hopped on my father's boat and brought our beloved Charlie along for the day."
