"We met more than six years ago in Bozeman. We were neighbors actually. When we first met I heard a whistle in the front yard that I still – to this day – will never forget. It was Spring and lilacs were blooming. He used to wait for me on the front porch to say hello. He adored my dog Lucy, and that was very important to love my dog as much as I did. Lucy approved of him, and the rest is history. We have so much in common: our love for traveling, cooking, the outdoors and our love for animals. It wasn’t long after we started dating that we said I love you to one another. We were celebrating our 5th anniversary in Philipsburg, Montana, when he popped the question. We had rented a yurt and spent a lovely day on the lake with our two dogs, Onyx and Pepper. He asked me after dinner with my favorite drink in hand – a White Russian.

Our original wedding plan definitely looked a bit different, but due to Covid we had to cut our guest list in half and change a few things up. We quickly realized we had so much love surrounding us through the process and that day that everything was meant to be and it would all be okay. Our dogs were able to play with us outside beforehand, and the boys got to play a game called Kubb. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect: a sunny, 72-degree October day with no wind! The morning I woke up I saw six deer running in the field together for the six years we have shared with one another. Serendipitous! The night ended with an awesome bonfire and a gorgeous full moon dancing in the moonlight with our close friends and family." – Alixandra, the Bride
