COURTNEY FOLKMAN PHOTOGRAPHY

Untitled design copy.png

Hi, I'm Courtney Folkman. I grew up in Southern California where I learned to love photography using my Dad's old film camera. Having always dreamt of a life in the mountains, I met my future husband who grew up here in Montana, and the rest was history. There are few places better suited for your perfect wedding than Montana. There are very few days – if any – that top your wedding day. As such, I believe that your love should be captured in all its beauty, emotion, depth and intention. The easiest way to describe my style is "wanderlust meets luxury."

For me, telling a story through imagery means mixing timeless photos with creative, sometimes blurry ones. It means that I capture the moment as it happens. I also will prompt, and pose you when appropriate. Through combining these different approaches, I guarantee a gallery full of details, classic shots, and creative images. I want you to look back at your photos in 50 years and feel like you are re-living your wedding day all over again. I am confident that as we work together, I cannot only execute your vision, but also help you live in the moment, and soak it all in!

"When my husband and I hired Courtney we were only passing through Montana and had a short window of availability for our elopement day. Courtney responded to my excited and last-minute call with so much grace and enthusiasm! We were complete strangers, but she matched this energy on our elopement day and we had a complete blast together. Our ceremony was casual and intimate and totally true to us, even with a third party. Her professionalism made us extremely comfortable and the photos turned out classic, earthy, sweet and fun! I’m so glad we can share these photos for the rest of our lives with family and friends!”
