Katalin Green was already known
for the stylish and elegant weddings that she designed though her
wedding consultation firm, Katalin Green Design; so it only made sense
that when she decided to open a Montana bridal shop, it would be a
unique and stylish alternative to the existing shops.
Unlike most retail spaces, Avant is located in a 2nd
floor suite of the restored Avant Courier Building in downtown Bozeman.
Katalin and her store manager, Nicquo Brinkel, have mixed
contemporary flair with the historic charm of the building to create an
intimate, comfortable space to display an array of wedding gowns and
accessories to meet every bride’s taste.
“I had been in the private showrooms of some of the large
retailers in New York, and I wanted to emulate that type of feeling in
Bozeman. I wanted my
clients to have the “VIP” experience”, says Katalin.
“When we opened Avant, we wanted to create a space that was
stylish, but more importantly, comfortable and focused on service.
Weddings are one of the most important times in a woman’s life
and I really want our customers to feel pampered.
Although we accept walk-ins, we prefer that our customers make an
appointment. That allows us to work one on one with the bride and offer
her the level of service that we feel is essential for such an important
purchase. For many brides,
we are the first stop in the process of planning a very important day.
Our goal is to offer a level of service and create an atmosphere
that gives our clients a wonderful start on their wedding journey” A
quick look at the large board of heartfelt thank-you notes from
Avant’s customers leaves no doubt that Katalin and Nicquo have been
more than successful in achieving their goal.
